PILLARS OF THE PAST
2024
During my time on BYU's Light and Truth Study Abroad program, we studied LDS church history in the British Isles and photography. Visiting historic sites––both LDS and others––gave me a deep appreciation for the stories and significance behind these places. Throughout the trip, I focused my efforts on a project photographing the rich history and artistry of European Architecture.
Growing up with a mother who is an interior designer and a father who is a graphic designer, I learned to notice and
appreciate beautiful designs and buildings everywhere. Architecture feels like a moment frozen in time. We get a glimpse into what life was like when things were built through the design eras and intricate details. This project renewed my passion for photography, discovering a newfound love of architecture photography, and strengthened my connections to each place that we visited.
Photos taken in England, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Germany, and Italy.
